The Association

Settle conflicts in another way than the classic judicial one has become indispensable in a society which is enfeebled by the complexity of its functioning rules and by the individualism of its members. Conciliation and mediation allow, by favouring the mutual comprehension of the litigating parties, to settle disputes on a permanent way.
The Groupement tends to unite judges and prosecutors of the different countries of the European Union and beyond who believe that an effective and pacifying judicial system implies, amongst other prerequisites, a promotion and a development of the alternative dispute regulation of conflicts and, more in particular, a judicial activity in mediation matters.
Confrontation of judges'experiences has to allow to attain a level of excellence in all countries. Moreover, the harmonisation which will ensue of this confrontation between systems will favour the access of the citizen to justice all over Europe.
